Yasamin joined DL3 in 2022 and supportsthe expanding affordable housing development practice. Relying on her architecture and constructionbackground, she is currently managing DL3’s complex affordable housingprojects, including the under-construction Thrive Englewood and upcoming ThriveExchange mixed-use residential project for which she manages all design, financing,general contractor and public agency consultants and partners ensuring theseamless execution for the success of the projects.
With a solid background workingwith both large and small architecture firms, most notably Perkins & Will,where she worked as a designer on civic and affordable housing projects, and withThe Community Builders, where she was a Development Associate on affordablehousing projects valued at $40+ million in Chicago, Yasamin brings a uniquebackground and experience to the team.
Yasamin holds a Master of RealEstate Development and Design from the University of California at Berkeley whereshe was an Honorable Mention in the prestigious ULI Hines 2021Competition. She also holds a Bachelorof Science in Architecture from the University of Cincinnati. Yasamin serves on the Board of Directors ofDesign Trust Chicago, a multidisciplinary civic impact design studio committedto connecting communities and designers in the pursuit of creating equitableand thriving spaces for all Chicagoans.
