The historically significant building, located at 7936 S. Cottage Grove Avenue, was home to the nation’s largest Black-owned bank, Independence Bank. When completed, the approximately 45,000 square-foot building will house Gift of Hope’s community outreach and volunteer services, business offices, and a backup call center for uninterrupted coordination of critical organ and tissue donation.

Additionally, the College will offer community health worker, emergency medical technician, medical assistant, and personal fitness trainer certificate programming, general education, and continuing community education courses, as well as provide community physical therapy and personal training fitness services to the community.
